The GLWC is pleased to share a brand new Living Wage Benchmark report for rural areas and small towns in Yucatan, Mexico for 2022. The study estimates the living wage that a typical worker would need to receive each month to afford a basic but decent living, as well as the cost of living. This study was conducted with a focus on the garment sector.

New Living Wage and Income Benchmark: Nayarit, Mexico

The GLWC is pleased to share a brand new Anker Living Wage and Income Benchmark report for Nayarit, Mexico for areas that actively grow tobacco, sugar cane, mangoes, and bananas, as well as a growing fishing industry. The research in this benchmark complements that of Michoacán (2020), and provides a vision the living income and living wage are in central and central western Mexico.

The study, conducted in November 2022, includes living wage estimates that workers in Nayarit need to receive each month to afford a basic but decent living.

The GLWC is pleased to share a brand new Living Wage Benchmark report for Baja California, Mexico for the municipalities of Ensenada and San Quintín. The study, conducted in January 2021, includes living wage estimates that workers in the cities of both Ensenada and San Quintín need to receive each month to afford a basic but decent living. This study was conducted in the context of the fisheries, apparel and agriculture industries.

New Living Wage Benchmark Report – Michoacán, Mexico

We are pleased to announce the release of a brand new living wage benchmark for the Non-metropolitan urban and rural northwestern regions of Michoacán, Mexico. This study, conducted in October 2020, is the first of its kind in Mexico for focusing on workers in an area of the country with urban non-metropolitan and rural populations, and for the methodology used.
